(Must be relevant to the question and be 2 paragraphs minimum): I want to be a staff member because ive been playing on this server for quite a while now and it really has been fun. Ive spent almost two days of time on this server already and i cant say ive had a bad encounter with staff. Ive made some mistakes before but i most definitely have been reading up on the rules. i still have room for improvement, but i think that being a staff member would push me to be a better person on this server. How long have you been on the server? A Blue Circle Posted April 24, 2023 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Good evening/night Mr. Frank. We spoke a few times in the discord, I haven't gotten to see many genuine interactions with you. From what I observed, you did have tendencies to stir the pot just a little bit. It's gmod, nothing new there However, I am a bit concerned with this incident, I saw you leave earlier. I could tell you weren't happy, and I'd like to mention a couple of things.  I heard about this earlier. From what I picked up in logs, and talking to the gentleman who bought your permanent AK- You accidentally listed your gun for sale for the first two digits of the actual number you meant to sell it for. This would actually be a pretty simple situation to solve. If a sit was called, and you genuinely messed up, I'd be more than willing to help any time i'm online or available. A superadmin or above could have resolved your situation.  Where i'm going with this is, this reaction solved absolutely nothing. The problem was not addressed, instead you were bullying this kid ( he genuinely filed a harrassment report and I was going to just bring you, and talk this out, but you were gone.) I understand frustration, but this kind of behavior would literally be the opposite of what i'd want out of ANY staff member. I'd say players too but, you can only do so much.  At the risk of being verbose/off topic- A lot of people seem to get the wrong idea when they come here. For lots of people, trolling servers is how they play. For some, they obsess over a rank, or some kind of authority. Nobody's perfect, but I try my damndest to put the people who seem like good choices for staff through the ringer- And at the end of the day, it's quite literally customer service, but the customers are (children, grown men, fighting being stupid yelling etc) The goal of a staff member (any rank)- Is to solve problems.
