xyquad
There is an overwhelming amount of people who are completely unable to make a fading door without a 5 minute speech from an admin explaining it to them. I made this so I don't have to do that and can just link them instead. Method 1 (recommended) This method is for making the 4 fading doors used for your entrance with the Auto Fading Door setting. You do not need to touch the "Fading Door" tool for this part. Step 1. Biometric Keypad Tool Copy this configuration for the keypad tool. Auto Fading Door will make your life easier; otherwise use method 2. You do not need the same button as me, and mirrored sometimes isn't necessary. Entry Price will open the door if the amount is paid; leave it blank if you don't want people paying to get in (or set it to $100,000,000 because that's funnier) Step 2. Click on props With your keypad tool set up, click on the first prop you want as a fading door for your entrance. "Auto Fading Door" will automatically make the prop a fading door, attached to the same button as "Access Granted" on the keypad tool. If you have multiple doors (you should), you need to set a different Access Granted key for each one individually. Otherwise, all of them will open at the same time and the raider only has to crack one keypad. Set the "button" to a different key, then click the second door in the entrance and so on. If you set it up correctly, all doors will have a keypad on them that opens that door, and ONLY that door. If one keypad opens more than one door, you fucked up somewhere. If none of the keypads do anything, then please for the love of god try READING THE GUIDE.   ------------------------------------------------------------ Method 2 (manual) Manually make your fading doors and keypads/buttons.  Step 1. Fading Door Tool For a standard entrance fading door, you should leave both checkboxes blank. The button you set it to doesn't matter too much, but set it to something you can easily press to get in and out of your base. After you have this set up, click on the prop with the Fading Door tool. Some colors to know: White - Fading door isn't set Green - Fading door is set, and has the same configuration that is listed on the fading door tool Orange - Fading door is set, but has a different configuration than the one on the fading door tool. This is not a bad thing; it just means you'll overwrite it with the current configuration/button if you do click the prop again. If you have multiple fading doors, you need to set a different key for each one individually. Otherwise, all of them will open at the same time and the raider only has to crack one keypad. Set the "button" to a different key, then click the second fading door and so on.  Step 2. Biometric Keypad Tool, or Button Tool For manually making fading doors, you need to make either a keypad or a button depending on what you need. For Biometric Keypads, set the "Access Granted" key to the same key as your fading door. It will do abso-fucking-lutely nothing otherwise. For buttons, just set "Key to Simulate" as the same key as your fading door. It's the same shit as the screenshot above, you don't need another one. Click the fading door with the respective tool and congratulations. Don't be stupid and link all the fading doors to the same keypad i'm not explaining that shit 3 times  Edited June 5 by xyquad Link to comment
